
The history of well-known and worldly beloved tequila began back in 16-th century, when Spanish came to Mexico, and brought new technologies of distillation process. Since then, tequila, made by fermentation and distillation of blue agave juice, became one of three most popular drinks in the world.
“Tequila Supremo” Company belongs to a group of five leading manufacturers of tequila on the territory of Mexico.
At the beginning, the company was titled “La Arandina”, headed by Don Jose Augustin Camarena from 1939 till 1970, when he died.
Afterwards, Helena Herrera Orendain, his daughter-in-law decided to manage the Company. In 1980, Helena’s elder son was elected for position of the Head of the Company, and he started to develop it in all possible ways, including brand advertising.
Camarena Family, which owes “Tequila Supremo” Company, uses ancient traditions and unique technologies for tequila manufacture. Agave amount, possessed by Camarena Family, takes 4-th rank among all tequila manufacturers in Mexico. They have plantations for more than 1000 hectares and 3 millions of agave fruit in different ripeness stages, necessary for production of high-quality tequila.
